Hi Vikas, now a days, OEMs state in their Owners Handbooks about the compatibility of such fuels. Obviously, their engines have to be pre-tuned and metallurgically made compatible accordingly - the details of which I'm afraid I don't know off the cuff.

Hello Mr. SKG, regards. I am using turbojet diesel in my INDICA DLG EURO II non turbo car. Though earlier I have used normal diesel with and without the diesel additive SYSTEM-D. but ever since I bought my car I am confused what kind of diesel I should use for overall better performance. Even at TATA authorised centres also I got different views some say use normal diesel with System-D some say use only turbojet diesel. Then some say use normal diesel only. So please advise which combination or diesel should be used? Can I shift from turbojet to normal diesel? Thanks.

Hi DS, if Regular Diesel + System-D costs nearly the same per litre as TD, it's better and more convenient to use the latter.

Hi Mr.SKG! Hope you are fine. This is Kalpesh from mumbai. Thanks for recommending me to go for Getz 1.3. It’s been almost 3 mths that I’m driving my new Getz –it’s smooth and sturdy. My monthly drive averages to ~ 500-600kms. Considering my monthly drive do you recommend me to go for the extended warranty for my getz? If Yes, then should I go for extended 3rd year warranty (~Rs.3000) or for 3rd and 4th year combined extended warranty (~Rs.6500)?

Hi Kalps, I'm glad that you're happy with your choice. As regards taking an extended warranty, it all depends on - i) how long one intends keeping the car and ii) what kind of warranty failures one may have had within the first year. FYI, I've a 2yr+/20 kkm old Getz-1.3, mostly driven by a chauffeur, but so far, it hasn't needed any warranty support. The flip side of it is that if and when you sell it and it still has either the OE or extended warranty cover, you can bargain for a better price. So the decision has to be yours !
