i want to buy a car in range of rs 10 to 15 lakhs. i have short listed the honda civi, vw jetta and and toyota corrola altis. which would be the better buy in terms of speed pick up, power and fuel economy.

All the cars that you have short-listed are good choices.
Looking by your requirements we suggest the Volkswagen Jetta.
But before buying your car do test-drive the models to gauge your comfort level.

Hi Mayank, due to their close/family association with the well established Skoda-India, I'd not doubt the credibility of VW's overtures for India. However, since the Jetta has just been launched here, I'd tread with caution and wait for at least 6-months Indian ground realities feedback before deciding to invest. This applies to most such new ckd/skd imports coz fine tuning their specs to suit Indian road and drivers'/driving conditions takes time and one can only learn by experience.
